The Astonishing roster seems to have been in a state of transition lately. I'm hoping things will slow down soon and we'll have a definitative roster or I'm liable to get confused on who's where. With that said, I think Banshee leaving was a good move as I never really saw him exactly fitting into the celebrity concept. Meltdown on the other hand fits perfectly in with that as she's always been somewhat of an attention hog and sort of needy. So I think she's going to really be a good fit into this concept. I'm not quite sure who this Christine character is, but it seems like she has some experience in the superhero field. Jane Foster is the last character I ever expected to be associated with the X-Men so I'm interested to see where this goes. That's what I love about fanfic. The unexpected.

The Astonishing roster is now set for the foreseeable future . There might be some characters that come in for short bits or that join the team fully later on, but the team that is now there is now the team that will be in place for probably the next year. The only character yet to be added to the team is Bishop who will be a permanant member, and he will join once Gavin has finished with him in XSE. Christine Palmer recently appeared in the Nightcrawler maxi series from around 2004/2005. She is a nurse, and when I went to look up more about her I found out she was actually one of the three original Night Nurses from Marvel times past. Jane Foster was definitely fun to add in for a big unexpected change. I realized that all the other teams had medical personnel either on the team or supporting, except for Astonishing so I wanted them to have medical staff on island and thought Jane would fit perfectly since she has experience with super heroics. Banshee was a favorite character, but like you mentioned there and like others mentioned and I realized all was right he just didn't fit fully into the concept. He's already found a new home so we'll see how it goes for him. Meltdown is another great trade that came from Gavin and I'm really happy to get a chance to write her and what I have planned for her on the team. Thanks for still reading and enjoying the title . Hopefully the next issue will resonate well as the cast is steady and I move out of the slow contained story I had here for the last few issues and have the X-Men living up to being compared to the Avengers.

I'm definately interested to see how Bishop adapts to the concept of celebrity. He doesn't strike me as a guy who would like the limelight a whole lot.

Bishop will be quite interesting to fit in as he's not the celebrity type but is a welcome addition for them being the Avengers type. So it's a fine line to walk with him.
First glimpse of Bishop will be coming soon as there is some things shifting behind the curtain for the X-Line and some changes are being made that you should be able to see soon enough.

Is Fitzroy going to show up at all?

No plans for Fitzroy at the moment but very soon there will be some of Bishop's past, aka the future, coming into play as I'm aiming to do something with it that reflects the changes that have occurred in the time-line and his not having been part of his time line in some time. As well as play off the fact that in the Alpha issue as the world kept changing with this new attitude about mutants Bishop was starting to realize that he had forgotten details about his past.
Bishop will actually appear on the team in issue #9 as issues #8-10 have been condensed down into just issues #8-9 with some changes that have been made in the x-line. New versions of some past issues will be going up, but the next brand new issue (which is a new #10 lol) will be on it's way for sure as this book will be coming to form this year.
