Exiles #8: Lanterns Light Part 2
“Rrrrraaagggghh!” raged the hulk, as he crushed the undead Jarella into dust.
“Betty always loved me more!” screamed the Black Lantern Glen Talbott as he unsuccessfully attempted to ram his hand through the Hulk’s chest and rip out his heart.
“Leave. Hulk. Alone!” roared the green goliath, as he punched Talbot so deep into the ground the stone’s reached his elbow.
“Bruce Banner of Earth, there is much rage in your heart,” called an angry voice from above, “Welcome to the Red Lantern Corps[/color]”
Before Hulk could even argue he was not the puny Banner, a red ring zoomed in like a comet and lodged itself on his middle finger. A pain like no other burned inside his heart, while an odd red symbol seared itself onto his chest. The burning sensation spread throughout his veins, until fiery red bile spewed forth from him mouth.
Blooonk!“Awww jeeez it’s the freaking Hulk,” groaned Morph, as the Exiles appeared before their first recruit.
“RRRRAAAAGGGGHHHHHH!!” roared the monster, spraying Morph with burning bile. The malleable man yelped as he melted into a puddle of red and white goo, “I’m meeelllting! Meeelllttting!”
“Morph!” Blink reacted quickly and teleported the liquefied Morph away from the Red Lantern. Meanwhile Zarda charged in and tackled the beast to the ground.
“Calm yourself titan! We seek your aid against a dangerous foe!”
If the Hulk understood her, he didn’t show it; he seemed more mindless than ever. He spewed bile in the amazon’s face, dissolving her helmet, before grabbing her by the throat and hurling her into the stratosphere.
“How about we come back for this one?” suggested Heather meekly.
“Good idea,” agreed Blink.
