It's almost the same thing with Dr. Fate. He's an Agent of Balance...charged to make sure that neither Choas or Order gain the upper hand on each other. Yet, he's almost shoehorned into the role of a superhero...which to me bias' the character to good...which is an aspect of order. Unless Dr. Fate played both sides of Chaos and Order then he's not really a true Agent of Balance. Unless Chaos is so overwhelmingly in majority over order that Fate is forced to be on the JLA I see him as above it. If there's a good 50/50 balance then for every act of good Fate does he should do something almost as equally awful. Unless there's a villain in the role of Dr. Fate and is a bad guy doing good things as a way of Balance and then doesn't mind kicking kittens down a well or something to keep Order in check. I hear you. It reminds me of how Order and Chaos were portrayed by Michael Moorcock in his ELRIC series. Time and time again during the series Moorcock says that Order and Chaos are beyond good and evil but Choas was always shown doing some pretty evil shit.

I don't disagree and I think that would put Strange in positions where he has to say basically this is above good and evil and the choice to be made here isn't about GOOD or EVIL its about balance.
Could this cause strife I think so, and would be some good drama off of it.

I had an Avengers title in mind awhile ago and I took it back to its basics.
Hulk: Robert Bruce Banner Thor: Thor Odinson/Donald Blake Iron Man: Anthony 'Tony' Stark Yellowjacket: Dr. Hank Pym Wasp: Janet van Dyne
I would add later members in the series such as:
Captain America: Steven Rogers Hawkeye: Clinton 'Clint' Barton Quicksilver: Pietro Maximoff Scarlet Witch: Wanda Maximoff
Who knows, I may get around to writing this series some time.

Now, did anyone ever try tallying all these votes up and see who would win the vote for Marvel Anthology's Avengers?
The only heroes with five or more votes are Thor, Wasp, Hawkeye, Vision, Captain America (winning the most with 10), Iron Man, She-Hulk, and Pym (adding the votes for Ant-Man, Yellow Jacket, and Giant-Man all together). Thor and Pym are tied for five votes each, so they'd have to duke it out for the seventh slot.

Looking back over the voters, I see Derrick Ferguson's roster was closest to the winning roster, with him picking 6 out of the 7 winners. Will that convince Derrick to try a hand at the Avengers here in the future?

Derrick's doing a very solid Avengers series at Altered Visions. Very much worth reading Scott. Also, having been privy to Jamie's Avengers plans, we're in for a major treat. A fantastic mix of characters, with a great story in the works.
My attitude towards an ideal team has changed a bit.
Another group I'd enjoy writing-
Hawkeye Black Widow Athena Vision She-Hulk Nova Ms. Marvel
That's a very powerful team right there, and interesting enough, the two that would be leading are the baseline humans.

Just saw an Avengers squad that I'd personally really enjoy writing in Busiek's Avengers #1-
Captain America Hercules Quicksilver Scarlet Witch Crystal Quasar D-Man
