Same thing as the JLA thread. Pick seven folks that you think you could write a substantial amount of stories with.
1)Thor 2)Black Panther 3)Adam Warlock 4)Scarlet Witch 5)Wasp 6)Falcon 7)Photon (Monica Rambeau)
I would love writing this team. I think a great number of character interactions and adventures could rise from it.

1. Hawkeye 2. Photon (Monica Rambeau) 3. Nova 4. Stingray 5. Wasp 6. Ms. Marvel/ Warbird 7. Vision
I like a mix of old school with a few lower key memembers. Mostly cause I like the idea of teams of Avengers without the big guns that already have their own solo books. I could do some things with this team...and I just might in the future...who knows lol.

1. Captain America 2. Iron Man 3. Ms. Marvel 4. Scarlet Witch 5. Vision 6. Falcon 7. Moon Knight
I know, I know - "Moon Knight?!" but I think it could work. He'd be the group's Batman. Tough as hell, hiding in the shadows, half psycho... I could make it work, I'm telling you....

I think all the attitudes with Quicksilver, Hercules and Namor would be great. Clint isnt kind of egoish too. This team would be great

I prefer teams that have a family feel to them, with maybe one or at most two members to 'spice things up' with an attitude.

My team has a mix of the classic mainstays and some new blood:
1.) Captain America 2.) Thor 3.) Iron Man 4.) Nova 5.) Sentry 6.) She-Hulk 7.) Black Panther
Lots of heavy hitters, smart guys and more money/resources than God. Avengers Assemble!

Captain America Hawkeye Iron Man Hercules Vision Tigra She-Hulk
I, personally, have a problem with Avengers teams that don't have Cap or Iron Man in them, or an analogue (*cough* USAgent / War Machine) and I just believe the Vision is as important to an Avengers team as the Martain Manhunter is to a JLA team.
The rest is personal preference, but how can you refuse Hawkeye? I mean, c'mon, Clint might be the best character ever created all around, at least until Bendis took a huge shit on him.
The others, I think you need a God / Powerhouse, and Thor works on his own, but Herc needs a support staff and just works as the footsoldier with the General (Cap / Iron Man) pointing him at those who need 'The Gift!'
As for women, I just love both Tigra and She-Hulk. They give the team a little variety (cat / wild character) and (tough / smart chick). i love Ms. Marvel and Wanda and Wasp and blah, blah, blah, but they've been done to death and work best as guest / supporting characters at this point, or starring in their own series. Tigra, in my opinion, won't support a series and She-Hulk has her ups and downs, but as parts of a team, with their personalities, are fantastic.
Runners up:
Moon Knight - Barry hit this one on the head. Firebird - soooo much potential (see MO USAgent, plug-plug!) Thor - almost too much in fanfic with Cap, Tony and Clint around. Quicksilver - fun, but again, almost too much. Namor - see Thor / Quicksilver Spider-Woman - ah, my Julia, does no one love you like me? USAgent - never on the same team as Cap. Ever.

You're more or less seeing my ideal team right now (plus Cap who'll be rejoining in another issue or two).
I love She-Hulk as an Avenger tho.

And she's such a rarity in that she was both a member of The Avengers and The Fantastic Four and worked equally well with both teams.

And she also works fantastic solo. Really, why is Wolverine so popular when you've got such a wonderful character in Jen Walters? Come on!

0yeah all the americans are just jealous of the worlds toughest man...PUCK! He's like a supercharged Wolverine. Word! Puck as he was originally presented was my favorite Alpha Flight character and he remained so until they threw in that bullshit about him really being a six footer squashed down to four feet by some magic blade. In every AVENGERS series I wrote I always intended for Puck to become a member of the team. Problem was I never stayed on an AVENGERS series long enough to make that happen. ;D
